A heartfelt farewell ceremony was held in honour of Dr. Philip Thomas, the outgoing Director. During the event, Dr. Philip Thomas was presented with a memento by Rev. Fr. Aby K Joshua General Secretary MTEA and MTEA Society, and Prof Abraham P Mathew Correspondence Secertary MTEA,CUSAT Syndicate member and former principal Of Mathoma College, Chungathara ,honoured Dr Philip Thomas, the retiree, by conferring upon him the prestigious Golden Cloth ( Ponnada).
The function was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including former founder Director Dr. Rajan Varghese , Mr Thampi John Treasurer of the college, Prof. Abraham, Rev. Fr. Aby, , Dr. Sunil Varghese, Associate Professor, Divya C.V., Assistant Professor, Mr. Sheffin J., Assistant Professor, and Deepu from the office staff, all of whom delivered speeches. The event saw the attendance of all faculty, staff, and students.
In his reply speech, Dr. Philip Thomas expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support and cooperation he received during his tenure. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Divya C.V. and a sumptuous meal for all attendees.
In the afternoon, Prof. Abraham P. Mathew Former Principal Marthom College Chungathara , CUSAT Syndicate member assumed charge as the new Director, and Dr. Sunil Varghese took over as the Principal in charge.
