Marthoma College of Management and Technology (MCMAT), Perumbavoor along with Laurels School of Management Indore, organized a National Level Inter-Collegiate Debate Competition “SCINTILLANTIA 2014” on 29th November, 2014.
The prizes were distributed by Adv. Prakash P. Thomas, Treasurer and Trustee, Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar, Ms. Susamma Kurian, Senior Sub-editor, The Week, Shri. John M Chacko, Director, Laurel’s School of Management, Indore and Dr. Rajan Varughese, Director, MCMAT.
The best team, S.B College Changanassery, was presented with Shri. K. M Chacko Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy, Retainer’s Trophy and also individual trophies. The cash prizes for the three top best debaters were Rs.12,000, Rs.7,000, Rs.5,000 and consolation prizes of Rs 2,000 each for 4th and 5th positions. All the winning debaters received merit certificate and were eligible for participation certificate. Ms. Ashna K Ashok from Christ College, Iringalakuda become best debater for Scintellentia-2014. First runner-up debater was Mr. Davis Titus from S.B College Changanassery and Second runner-up was Ms. Priya Alphonsa Mathew from Alphonsa College, Pala.
